So in the end the $375 rate that I booked was the lowest rate of the major rental agencies at the Reid Airport Rental Car Center (with just one shuttle trip involved). Instead of rates going down, however, they began going back up and remained over $500 until the day I left. After a couple of weeks of checking periodically the best rate I could find was at Dollar for $375 for 4.5 days and I booked it, but hoped to find a cheaper rate over time. The flight arrived about 10:30 AM as planned and I went to pick up my rental car at Dollar.Ībout 12 weeks prior to the flight, using Car Rental Savers and AutoSlash the best rate I could get for the five day rental was a whopping $500+.
